Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. in Peace Lutheran Church in the town of Frankfort for Julius Weinke, 81, Athens, who died at his home Sunday evening at 11 p.m. The Rev. August Zaiser will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. The body is reposing at the Lulloff Funeral Home.

Mr. Weinke was born Feb. 28, 1880 in the town of Stetten. He was married in 1903 to the former Martha Wendorf. They farmed in that area until 1927 when they moved to the town of Johnson. They lived there until retirement in 1952. Since that time, they have made their home with their children. Mr. Weinke was a former member of the school board in the town of Johnson, and was an elder at Peace Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Fred, Edgar, and Alfred, Rib Lake; three daughters, Mrs. Sam (Erna) Remus and Mrs. Henry (Edith) Lehman, Athens, and Mrs. Henry (Freida) Peter, Abbotsford; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
