Alfred Delbert Clester was born 20 Mar 1911 in Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma; one of eight children born to James "Jim" and Adah Paralee (Foster) Clester.

Nicknamed "Dutch", he was united in marriage in 1935 in Colorado with Nellie Ann Hogan; daughter of John and Ann Hogan.

Dutch served his country during World War II, Tec5 Co A 583 SIG AW BN.

Dutch and Nellie were the parents of three children:

1. Daniel Roy born 1936 married Joyce
2. Mary Katherine born 1937 married Herman L. Gray
3. Floyd Eugene born 1938 married Penelope "Penny" M. Powers

Nellie passed away 25 Dec 1941 in Lamar, Prowers County, Colorado at the age of 21 years. She was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in Lamar, Prowers, Colorado.
