Alvin “Budge” Akiu, 52, of Waipahu, an Air Force veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. Budge was known for his soft smile and his uplifting attitude that would brighten up anyone's day. His passions were fishing, cooking and spending time with his family. He was a Saint Louis Graduate, class of 81. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force. Budge was diagnosed with cancer back in 2014 and lived out his life to the best, with only good times. We will be having a two-day celebration to commemorate his life. Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Miliani Mortuary (Makai Chapel) at 5:00pm. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Resurrection of the Lord, in Waipio (94-1260 Lumikula St, Waipahu, HI 96797) at 9:00am. Attire will be Casual/Aloha wear.
