Moravia, Jan. 19 - Lafayette Allen, 78, a well-known resident of the village of Genoa, died Thursday at his home there, following a short illness. Death was attributed to a complication of diseases. He was a retired farmer. He was born in South Addison on May 5, 1855, and was the son of Fred Allen and Catherine Snyder Allen.
He is survived by his widow and two step-daughters, Charlotte and Emma Bush of Genoa.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home at 1 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. Rev. W.T. Barnes, pastor of Genoa Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ithaca.
