BILLY DON WILHELM, 72, of Duncan, died Saturday, November 4, 2006, in Wilkins Nursing Center in Duncan.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in New Hope Baptist Church West with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Billy was born Oct. 6, 1934, in Marlow, to Elvin J. and Modena Hupp Wilhelm.
He married Merrel McKinzie on May 12, 1953. She preceded him in death. From this union were born two sons, Garry Don and Robbie Wayne Wilhelm.
He married Vera Lee Lively Engle on Sept. 9, 1999, in Tulsa.
Billy was employed by Occidental Petroleum Co. for 30 years as a production foreman until his retirement in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Lee of the home; a son, Robbie Wilhelm and wife Linda of Montgomery, Texas; two brothers, Wayne Wilhelm of Gadsden, Ala., and J.R. Wilhelm of Phoenix, Ariz.; a step-brother, Joe Britt of Duncan; four grandchildren, Michael Wilhelm, Shannon Wilhelm, Jessica Wilhelm, and Jason Wilhelm; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, a son, Garry Don Wilhelm, and a brother, Glenn Wilhelm.
Bearers will be Chris Choate, Jason wilhelm, Garry Melton, Rodney Engle, Randall Engle and Jason Steward.
