Daniel was in the Army 108th. airborne infantry from 1949-50, then he went into the reserves from 1950-56. He also worked for AC Sparkplug in Flint from 1950 until he retired in 1983.
He leaves behind wife Carroll Carnahan of Gladwin: children: Vernon (Joyce) Themm of Ft. Wayne, IN., Steven Rushing of Gladwin, Veronica (Mike) Jones of Clio, Nancy
Carnahan; grandchildren: Keith (Lorrie) Lambert, Jeffrey Carnahan, Crystal (Jose) Mata, Thomas (Stefanie) Jones,
Shatay (Bill) Dunn, Aaron (Cynthia) Cooley-Themm and Brian (Rebecca) Jones, and many great grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his son Ronald K. Carnahan.
A memorial service will take place at The Vetrans of Foreign War Post 7303 located at 1256 S. M-18 in Gladwin Services are being held from 12-4 p.m.(obit should also have said June 18, 2016)
