Ida Johnson Overson, our mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and Aunt passed away on June 8, 2016 at her home in Leamington, Utah, at age 96. Ida was born May 11, 1920 in Fountain Green, Utah to Ruth Thomas and William Henry Johnson the oldest of 5 children. She spent the first 29 years of her life living in Fountain Green, Utah and left a part of her heart there. On August 24, 1949, she married Grant Lyman Overson. They settled in Lynndyl, Utah, before moving to Leamington, Utah in 1957. The family farm was her life. She was very proud that she was the oldest resident of Leamington until her passing. She was involved in 4-H, the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and she started the Cub Scout Program in Leamington in 1958. Ida was a lifelong member of the LDS Church, and served in the Primary and Stake Sunday School Leadership.

She is survived by children: Allen Overson, Leamington; Alida Ruth (Michael) Martin, Salt Lake City; and Scott Overson, Delta; grandchildren: Rushton Overson, Chelsea (Jason) Reid, and Cameron Martin; great-grandchildren: Colton, Corbin, Caitlin and Grant.
She was preceded in death by husband: Grant; and her siblings and their spouses: William Elden (Jean) Johnson, Alice (Gloyd) Anderson, Thomas Demoine Johnson and Celia Veora Johnson.

Burial will follow in the Leamington Cemetery.
