His marriage was to Helen Butler in Colorado in 1965 who survives him. Ralph and Helen are members of the Remington Apostolic Christian Church. Ralph farmed for most of his life raising hogs and grains. He enjoyed spending his time woodworking and most of all spending time with his four grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife are four children, Sue Waibel of Remington, Dean (Tammy) Waibel of Remington, Shirley Waibel of Remington, and Sandra (Loren) Hunt of Pittsboro, IN. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Justin Waibel, Harmony Waibel, Ellie Hunt, and Josie Hunt.
Preceding him in death along with his parents are two brothers, Clyde and Lloyd Waibel; sister, Mabel Bushman.
