Mr. Chappell was a native of Paris, Ark., and had been a resident of Bossier City for four years. He was retired from Dow Chemical Co.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Opal Swanner of Bossier City and Bernice Chappell of Houston, Tex.; two sons, Wilburn Chappell of McAllen, Tex., and Kenneth Chappell of Livermore, Calif.; one brother, Claude Chappell of Dallas, Tex.; and two sisters, Nellie Cooper of Paris, Tex., and Birdie Burton of Direct, Tex.
