Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille, for Ann Delia Letteer, age 89, who died on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her residence in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Her granddaughters will serve for the Funeral Mass. The Lectors will be Dr. Melanie Fowler and Amanda Oliver Credeur and the Gift Bearers will be Laurie Champagne and Sarah Oliver. Dr. Kelli Cocke will sing for the services. Her son, Dr. Guy A. Letteer will deliver a special message.
To cherish her memory are her four children; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her three sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Letteer; her parents, S.F. Delia and the former, Katie Griffin; one brother, S. F. Delia, Jr.; one sister, Catherine D. Durham and a grandson, Douglas J. Trumps.
Mrs. Letteer was a native of DeRidder, Louisiana and a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for 64 years. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a Legal Secretary for Robert L. Cole, Attorney At Law. Mrs. Letteer was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was committed to ministering to people at her job and in her daily life. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew and loved her.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home by Sister Hilda Mallet, MHS.
