Arvella Isabell Lowe Springsteed 78 of Pocatello passed away Wednesday June 15, 2016 at a local health care facility. Arvella was born March 12, 1938 in Pocatello, Idaho to Arvel and Isabell (Curzon) Lowe. She was the 1st of 13 children. She attended school in Pocatello where she met her husband Clarence Springsteed. They were married in 1954 and had four children from their union, Clarence (Sherrie) Springsteed, Betty Jaramillo, Randy (Toni Miller) Springsteed and Cherie Saxon. The marriage later ended in divorce. Arvella enjoyed traveling with her family, camping, shooting pool, bowling, playing cards and spending time with her family. She had several different careers during her life: she ran the 5 mile restaurant for several years. She owned Willard Street Shelter Home and helped several handicapped people and their families. Arvella is survived by her 7 of the 12 siblings Lucy Baker, Arvel Lowe, Judy (Jerry) Wellard, Bob (Boots) Lowe, Marion (Tom) Pena, Kathleen (Ron) Day, Ernie (Barbara) Lowe, her 4 children, 8 of the 10 grandchildren Clarence III Springsteed, Terry (Bryan) Halbur, Randy Springsteed, Henry Springsteed, Mollie Saxon, Kristi Springsteed and Megan McCord, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Arvella is proceeded in death by her parents, 5 of her siblings Sharon Kinghorn, Carol Jean Lowe, Ronald Lowe, Jerry Lowe, Ralph Lowe, 2 of her grandchildren Chicklet Jaramillo, William Eugene Saxon. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at 2pm in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 North 15th Ave., Pocatello, where the family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service.
