The top photo (provided by my grandmother, Della Jane McBee Burnett) is of Elsie & Harrison on the left and his twin brother Levi Morton (Lony) Hopper and wife Emily Margaret (Emma) Housley Hopper on the right. It is believed this was taken shortly after their marriages. The bottom photo of Elsie & Harrison was provided by their son, Lee Vonnie Hopper

Wife of Harrison Housley Hopper.
Daughter of Robert (Frederich) & Margaret Bell (Minnie) Williams Keck. Elsie was born in Claiborne County, TN., and died in Lebanon, Warren County, OH.

The following was shared by Lee V. Hopper, son of Elsie & Harrison Hopper:

From Under a Rock in Union County Tennessee.
The Leatherwood Church-School Building
My Grandfather Robert Frederich Keck, helped to build the old log Leatherwood Church - School building. Uncle William, Robert, James, "Bob" Hopper taught School there. Frank, Carey was Principal, of the school. Frank Carey was paralyzed from the hips down, (I do not know why) He was confined to a "Rolling Chair", Uncle "Bob" had lost an arm due to a run away team and wagon, Pre. 1910 I seem to remember mother saying. When it came to disciplining the children, Frank Carey held them and Uncle Bob, gave the licks. Uncle Estil L. Keck, son of Robert Frederich, told me "Bob Hopper, hit hard. He hit harder than he had to. I am surprised some one didn't try to resist him. There were boys, big as men in school, I guess they just had too much respect for a School Teacher." I asked uncle Estil, "Eck", "Did he ever hit you." He grinned and said, "Of course not, I was a good boy Ha." I think, all Grandpa Keck's children, except maybe, Adaline, born 1919 and Warren born 1921, went to school there. Mother Elsie Keck went there but I do not think Uncle "Bob", was teaching at the time, he was only six years older than mother. Mother won a prize, a dime, for best (Cursive) handwriting. lvh
