NOLAN PIONEER IS FOUND DEAD

Sweetwater, Sept. 28 - J. N. Walls, 68, Nolan County pioneer, was found dead this afternoon in his automobile, the motor still running, on the old Abilene highway seven miles southeast of here. His body was discovered by W. F. Fletcher, Sweetwater mail carrier.

Walls, a Nolan County resident for 48 years, apparently had died of a heart attack. S. H. Shook, Sweetwater justice, conducted an inquest but had not returned a verdict tonight. Walls had suffered heart attacks and had recently been under the care of a physician.

Funeral arrangements had not been announced tonight.

Survivors are four children, B. N. Walls of Lingo, N.M., R. W. Walls of Wichita, Kans., Thad Walls of Colorado, and Mrs. Allen Smith of Chickasha; one brother, John Walls of Ladonia, Tex., and a sister, Mrs. Scott of Nolan County.
