Ernest Laverne Fredeck

Sweetwater - Ernest Laverne Fredeck, 67, died Sunday in an Abilene hospital.

Graveside services with military rites will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Garden of Memories Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Spence officiating, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.

Mr. Fredeck was born in Abilene and lived in Sweetwater most of his life. He also lived in Lovington, N.M. for eight years. He was a retired paint and body man and owned and operated Southwest Body Works for 35 years. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Army Reserve and a member of the Elks Lodge. He was the widower of Delores Marcilene Fredeck.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Stapleton of Hewitt; one son, Don Fredeck of Danbury; three sisters, Cora Lee Christian and Louise Henry, both of Abilene and Ruth Parker of Lamesa; and four grandchildren.
