Stab Victim Dies From Gunshot Wound
Philipsburg - A 79 year old Philipsburg man who reported he was the victim of a stabbing incident in his home at the Rusnak Trailer Park on New Year's Eve, died Saturday evening of a self inflicted gunshot wound, according to Centre Co.

Earl Coudriet was found about midnight in the home of his son, Richard Coudriet, in Curtis Park. Philipsburg police and Mr. Trump said the victim left
a note saying he had staged the earlier stabbing incident.
Police had been investigating the New Year's Eve stabbing incident, and were seeking an assailant described by Mr. Coudriet. He had been hospitalized for stab wounds but was released from the Philipsburg State General Hosp. Jan.

Born in Frenchville Feb. 1, 1900, Mr. Coudriet was the son of Alphonse and Louisa (Rougeux) Coudriet.
He was married to the former Lena Jamison who died in 1965.
He is survived by two sons, David Coudriet, Wallaceton, and Richard F. Coudriet, Philipsburg, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Hoover (Alice) Rydberg, Clearfield. He is also survived by two grandchildren.
