Carol Lee Troll, formerly of Eureka, died on Friday, June 10, 2016, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, in El Dorado, at the age of 79.
She was born on September 3, 1936, in Oxford, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond and Minnie Alice (Jackson) Rowe. She was raised in Winfield and Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1954. On June 9, 1954, Carol was united in marriage to Charles Troll in Eureka, where they made their home. To this union, one daughter, Mary "Charline" was born. This marriage later ended in divorce.
Carol later completed certification as an RN and worked as a travelling nurse. She continued this until 1991 when she began as a nurse at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka. She retired in 2008, only due to declining heath.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Ashley Andrews of El Dorado; three great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Marti Reida of Columbia, Missouri; Larry May of Jefferson City, Missouri; Judy Sloan of Iola; and Norma Collins of Des Moines, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Charline; three brothers, and three sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Greenwood Cemetery, in Eureka, with Mr. Jayme A. Koup officiating. Cremation has been effected.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Greenwood County Hospital. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O.
