Graveside services for Ed Mitchell, age 92, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Teresita Cemetery. Chaplain Jerry Henson from the Cherokee County Hospice will preside.
Services have been entrusted to the care of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Ed Mitchell was born in Missouri on August 3, 1916, the son of Roco Mitchell and Gracie Degase Mitchell. Ed enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Ed Mitchell passed from this life on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at the age of 92.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Oscar Mitchell, Elbert Mitchell, Jack Mitchell and Lloyd Isley; sisters Ruth Manning, Ruby Snodgrass, Barbara Allen and Rosie Bell McClelland.
Ed's survivors include one sister; and one special great niece and her companion. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ed's mother and brother Richard Mitchell died when Ed was two years old. Afterward, his father Roco Mitchell, married Ed's mother's half-sister Gracie (Degase) Mitchell.
