Frank Hudson, 93, of Comanche, formerly of Greenville, died Tuesday at a Comanche hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Park Street Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. Don Cartwright and Rev. Ernest Holland officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery.

The son of Dr. Clarence and Mary Etta Spegle DeWitt (sic), he was born July 1, 1909, in Waco.

Mr. Hudson was owner of an automobile dealership. He was a member of Park Street Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for 20 years.

He also served on various committees and was chairman of the Building Committee when the present sanctuary was built.

Mr. Hudson was a life member of the Masonic Lodge, was a past president of the GISD school board, first president of the Greenville YMCA which he was instrument in getting started, Little League commissioner for the Greenville Little League and was a past recipient of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce Worthy Citizen Award.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, LaRue Hudson of Comanche; a son and daughter-in-law, Gus and Tona Sue Hudson of Sulphur Springs; daughter Mary Marshall of Greenville; stepson and wife Johnny and Linda Ray of Hallsville; two stepdaughters and husbands, Shelia and Steve Wilson and Sharon and Larry Powell, all of Hillsboro; sister Mariann McCarter of Norman, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
