FINAL RITES HELD FOR IRA CUMMINS

BROWNWOOD — Ira Cummins, 84, of Blanket, died Wednesday March 24, 1999 in a local hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Blanket First Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy Camp and Gary Day officiating. Burial will be in Blanket Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Mr. Cummins was born in Bell County and lived most of his life in Brown County. He married Jewell Welty Stanley in Blanket in 1957. He was a member of the Blanket Lions Club and the Blanket First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of Blanket; one son, Jerry Cummins of Arlington; two daughters, Linda King of Arlington and Barbara Davis of Okla.; three stepsons, Dale Stanley of Blanket, Billy Stanley of Odessa, and Chester Stanley of Houston; two stepdaughters, Betty Roundtree of Goldthwaite and Nettie Tatum of Conroe; nine great grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
