After graduating from Allentown High School in 1943, Cal worked as an industrial pattern maker for 29 years at Swope & Bartholomew Inc., Whitehall before retiring in 1994. He was a life member at Unami Fish & Game Association and the Mercantile Club of Emmaus. Cal was a lover of the outdoors and activities, especially fishing, boating and skiing.
Survivors: his wife Ruth; daughter Shirley A. Eli of Allentown; son Barry N. Eli and wife Shay of Lewes, Delaware; a sister Caroline Bott of Allentown; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Albert and sister Eleanor Schank.
Services: viewing 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown followed by funeral service at 11:00, with Rev. George Eckstein officiating. Interment following at Arlington Cemetery, Whitehall.
