Mrs. Johnson was born Feb. 13, 1943, in Danville, a daughter of Charles and Marguerite Englen Bennett. She married Jack L. Johnson on April 28, 1965, in Champaign. He survives.
Survivors also include a son, Jack L. Johnson II of Florida; a daughter, Martha Johnson of Alvin; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Johnson was a 1961 graduate of Bellaire High School in El Paso, Texas, and worked for Dr. Cuonzo in Hoopeston for 10 years. She was a registrar at Lakeview College of Nursing for several years and a circuit clerk for the village of Alvin for the last 10 years. She was an elder of First Presbyterian Church in Rossville and enjoyed crocheting, canning, camping and canasta.
