Guynell 8SC∼William "Bill" Knight, 85, and Guynell "Guynie" Knight, 84, passed away at their home on June 7, 2016.
The Knights were longtime residents of Greensboro, and active at the Bryan YMCA, Sedgefield Country Club, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
The Knights were high school sweethearts and graduates of Honea Path High School in SC. Known by some as "the Cookie Man," Bill retired from the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) after many years of dedication, and Guynie is remembered for her work as a banker and for her participation with the Republican Women's Club.
They were happily married for 67 years, and departed this world as they did so many other things together.The couple is survived by their sons, recently relocated to the NC coast, James Lee Knight and Glenn R. Knight, and their wives Brenda Knight and Janet Tippett Knight (respectively), as well as their three grandchildren, Jessica Knight, Aaron Knight and David Knight, one granddaughter-in-law, Kelsey Knight, and one great-granddaughter, Elle Knight.
The Knights will be missed by all who knew them, and laid to rest at St. Andrew's, where the family will celebrate their lives in a private service at a future date.
