"Isaac Wesley Cagg died at his home one mile northwest of Rosendale, June 19, 1903. He was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, July 16, 1827. He was married to Sarah Stanley on August 24, 1850. Six children were born to this union -- two sons and four daughters -- three of whom are living. Sarah Cagg his wife, died Sept. 12, 1870. He was again married Dec. 15, 1871, to Mary Jane Heaton. To this union four children were born, two sons and two daughters. Three are still living. He united with the M. E. church in 1870 and was a consistent member of the same at his death. He gave evident testimony that the Lord was with him.

For forty-six years he was a prominent member of the Odd Fellows, being a charter member of the Rosendale Lodge.

The funeral services were conducted at the home by the Rev. W. F. Wiley followed by the ritual of the Odd Fellows. The remains were interred in the Savannah cemetery June 21. His companion and children have the sincere sympathy of a host of friends." Savannah Reporter (Savannah, Missouri), June 26, 1903
