Albert George Dabbs III, 70, of Circleville, died at 10:31pm June 9, 2016, at Ohio State University Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born April 4, 1946, in Washington D.C., to the late Albert George, Jr. and Lucille M. (Thomas) Dabbs. On August 29, 1987, he married Rhonda S. Dearth, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Circleville; two sons; five grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters; a brother, Moorpark, CA; mother-in-law, Circleville; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Charles Dearth and brother-in-law Roger Dearth.

George served his country for 30 years in both the US Navy as a Seabee and later retiring from the US Air Force in 1996. He then worked at the VA Medical Center in the civil engineering department until retiring in 2011. He was a member and Past Commander of the American Legion, Post 62, Commander of the Color Guard, a member of AMVETS, Post 2256 and a board member of the Chivaho Credit Union.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8pm at Haller's.
