From the newspaper in Fort Collins: "ARLEENE K. MAYNARD. Arleene Katherine Maynard, 69, of Fort Collins, died at home Sunday, Nov. 13, 1994. A funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday at Warren-Bohlender Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stan Fixter officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Arleene Millage was born January 15, 1925, in Canton, S.D. She was the daughter of Howard D. Millage and LeVerne M. Schwartz Millage, both deceased. She graduated from business school in Sioux Falls, S.D., and working in bookkeeping and accounting. She married Edward L. Maynard Jr., on August 14, 1945, in the base chapel at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Ill. She came to Fort Collins in 1972 from Camp Hill, Pa. She was a lifetime member of the Methodist Church and had attended the Methodist Church in Sioux Falls, S.D. She loved sewing, gourmet cooking, working in her yard, flowers, travel and reading. She was a member of Eastern Star in Sioux Falls and Job's Daughters in Vacaville, California (she was involved in the organization for her daughter, Kay, who was a member). Survivors include her husband, Edward of Fort Collins; two sons, Greg Maynard of Fort Collins and Edward Maynard III of Masonville; a daughter Kay LaVerne Romero(o) of Colorado Springs; two sisters, Margaret Ann Berg of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mary Lou Tucker of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clark and Donald Millage. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Warren-Bholender Funeral Chapel."
