Agnes I. Goretski, 90, of Verona Township, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side, on June 8, 2016, at home under Heartland Hospice care.

She was born in Port Austin to the late Floyd and Martha (Kozlowski) Jaworski on January 2, 1926.

On October 21, 1944, she married Ervin Goretski at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1997.

Agnes was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church / St. Hubert Parish in Bad Axe. She was a member of the daughters of Isabella. Agnes worked for Norman's in Bad Axe for 17 + years, after retiring from dairy farming with her husband. She enjoyed RV-ing, dancing, playing Bingo, going on Casino trips, and gardening.

Agnes is survived by her daughters: Eileen Goretski (Gene Whitfield) of Satellite Beach, Florida and Maxine Goretski (Erik Lundy) of Bad Axe; brothers: Bernard (Joan) Jaworski, Frank (Charlotte) Jaworski, and Floyd (Dee) Jaworski, Jr.; sisters: JoAnn Pettit, Irene (Eugene) Breuss, Lillian (Kurt) Gossett, Leona Survey, Lorraine (Gerald) Rice and Helen (Sal) Inda; sister in law, Gertrude Jaworski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jenna Lynn Kincaid; her brother, Chester Jaworski, and sisters, Dorothy Pincoski and Bernice Michalski.
