Mrs. Theopal Hillis, age 84, of Forrest City, died Sunday at her home in Forrest City. She had been in poor health for the past year.
Mrs. Hillis was born October 26, 1926, in Marked Tree, Arkansas, and was the daughter of George Snell and Gracie George Snell. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, was retired from Sanyo Manufacturing and the Forrest City School District Cafeteria. She was a member of the Madison Baptist Church, the St. Francis County Fair Board, and the Happy Dayers
Mrs. Hillis married Ocie R. Hillis, in 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by five sons; Larry Hillis of Searcy, Billy Hillis of Madison, Gary Hillis of Proctor, Johnny Hillis and Tommy Hillis, both of Forrest City, one sister, Verona Snell of Forrest City, twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Hillis will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Wednesday with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
