Jere Allison Herrington, 78, of Texico, NM passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Cremation has taken place, and private family services will be held at a later date.

Jere was born March 17, 1938 in Clovis, NM to Boone Allison and Modine Jenkins Allison. She married George Herrington October 9, 1981 in Clovis, NM. Jere worked as a Loan Secretary at Citizens Bank Texico Branch. She enjoyed sewing, traveling especially going to Las Vegas, playing Bingo, and cooking.

Survivors include: her three children; Deborah (Monty) Lambert of Wellman, TX, Cheri Thompson of Florissant, CO, and Jeff (Mati) Tharp of Clovis, NM, a sister; Joan (Chuck) Stallings of Clovis, NM, five grandchildren; Lori Fulford, Clint (Ashley) Lambert, Darby Tharp, Kalley Tharp, and Macy Tharp, six great-grandchildren; Taylor Fuford, Kelsey Fulford, Allyson Fulford, Emiley Fulford, Tucker Lambert, and Karli Lambert, and one great-great-grandson; Lawson Fulford. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband; Lonnie Tharp, and second husband; George Herrington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
