Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Shelly, residents of the Rock Creek district for the past 25 years, will observe their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Tuesday, April 6. A dinner for the members of the family will be held at the Deer Park hall on Sunday, April 4, at noon. An open house will be held at the hall the same afternoon from three on to which all friends and neighbors are invited. The Shelleys were married at Browersville, Minn., in 1898. Mr. Shelley operated a sawmill in Minnesota for a number of years following their marriage. They then moved in 1912 to Watford City, N.D., where Mr. Shelley engaged in farming and stock raising until they came here in 1923. For the past 15 years they have made their home on a farm in the Rock Creek district. The Shelleys have three sons, Lewis, Portalnd, Ore.; Clinton, Huson, Mont.; and Truman, Spokane, and four daughters, Mrs. Chester Crim, Spokane; Mrs. Archie Turner and Mrs. Lester Cross, Bonners Ferry, and Mrs. Earl Avery, Copeland. There are 15 grandchildren.
