Walter F. Babel, 73, of 2237 Kent St., died in Mercy hospital yesterday.
Mr. Babel, born in Toledo, was a plumber. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Plumbers' Union, and played the fife in the drum corps of the Waltz-Hodgins Post, American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Luella; sons, John, Richard, Donald and James, all of Toledo; daughter, Mrs. John Jones, Royal Oak, Mich.; brother, Otto, Toledo; sisters, Olga Babel and Mrs. Laura Kaiser, Toledo and nine grandchildren.
