Kind Words About A Pulaski Family

EXCELSIOR, Minn., April 17, '95.

MR. EDITOR: I saw in the DEMOCRAT of April 3rd, the notice of the death of Mr. Charles C. Dodge. I had the pleasure of being intimately acquainted with him, as I worked for him on his farm some twenty-five years ago. AndI will say that more honorable and kind hearted people it has never been my pleasure to meet. John and William were then small boys and, of course, were at home. During the time I lived with the family I don't think I ever heard a cross or unkind word pass between them. That is saying a great deal, but it is true. Although wealth and elegance may not exist, yet it is a beautiful home where mutual love and respect rules as it did in that of Mr. Charles Dodge.
