Josephine Goodson, age 77, of Paris, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2013. She was born on July 25, 1936 in Dangerfield, Texas to William Ernest and Mattie Viola (Crowley) Hass. Josephine married Rex Edward Goodson on February 4, 1953 in Rockwall, Texas. She had a passion for taking care of her children and her grandchildren. Josephine’s life was summed up by those who knew her and loved her by “being a faithful servant of the cross.”

She is survived by her loving husband, Rex Edward Goodson of Garland, Texas; daughters, Barbara Rawlinson and husband James of Paris, Texas and Debra Jones and husband Darrel of Dalton, Georgia; son, Ronnie Goodson of Royse City, Texas; grandchildren, Melissa Reed and husband Jason of Dallas, Texas, James Rawlinson Jr. and wife Kim of Paris, Texas, Chance Fleck of Rowlett, Texas, Lacy Goodson of Garland, Texas, Robert Goodson Jr. of Dallas, Texas and Aaron Goodson of Paris, Texas; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Valerie, Nicholas, Zander, Destanee, Bryson, Anyslee and Chase; sister, Ida Fay Weaver and husband Buddy; and several nieces and nephews.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents William Ernest and Mattie Viola Hass; sons, Donald Dwayne Goodson and Robert Lane Goodson Sr.; brother, Billy Ray Hass.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday, November 10, 2013 evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
