She was born on November 15, 1919 in Frankfort, Illinois, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (nee Baumgartner) Wischover.
Alice married the late Lloyd A. Bettenhausen on October 16, 1940 in Frankfort, Illinois.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ in Frankfort, was past president of the church women's fellowship and treasurer of the church council. She also served as treasurer of KWIL and was a member of the Will County Homemaker's Extension. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and was a sports fanatic.
She is survived by her son, David (Marla) Bettenhausen of Peotone; two grandchildren, Tammy (Phil) Cowger and Tom (Courtney) Bettenhausen both of Peotone; and five great-grandchildren, Dakota and Mykayla Cowger; and Michael, Kiersten, and Brooke Bettenhausen. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Edith Warning.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home in Peotone on Friday, June 10 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Visitation: Saturday, June 11, 2016, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Peters United Church of Christ, 12 West Sauk Trail, Frankfort, Illinois.
Funeral services: Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Peters United Church of Christ, 12 West Sauk Trail, Frankfort, Illinois at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Mark Milligan officiating.
Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Frankfort.
