Wanda Lorraine Petersen Forber, 90, of Moline, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Garden, East Moline. A memorial fund has been established.
Wanda was born November 14, 1925 in Charlotte, IA, the daughter of Lewis and Maria (Kettelsen) Petersen. She married Harry Forber on December 26, 1945 in Moline.
Wanda retired on September 30, 1990 from the Rock Island Arsenal TACOM, after 28 years of service. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline and a former member of Oakwood Country Club, Coal Valley and the Arsenal Country Club, Rock Island.
Wanda was an avid golfer and won many tournaments. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and wintering in Texas.
Survivors include her children, Patrick (Susan) Forber, Centennial, CO, Susan Johnson, Moline and Kimberlee Forber, Moline; grandchildren, Eryn, Matthew, Patrick, Ryan, Gregory, Richard and William and great grandson, Tad Bonds. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
