Daughter of John Holland and Sarah Jackson, sister of Arnie and Willie, and half-sister of Alva. Maria married William Arnew and came with him to Michigan in 1902. Later they came to Oak Harbor where Mr. Arnew died in 1935. She married Ralph Parish on November 14, 1935 in Mount Vernon and he died in 1938. She then married Robert Grant on June 4, 1940 in Seattle. Mr. and Mrs. Grant operated Grant's Rest Home in Coupeville. Her children were Mrs. Ruth Lanphere of Greenbank, William Stanley Arnew of Edmonds and a step-daughter, Mrs. Lilly Seely of Camano Island.
