Mr. Tom Bartley, 67, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 28, 1985, after an extended illness. Mr. Bartley was a retired truck driver.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 30, at 10:00 a.m. in Grand Pairie, and were followed by graveside services at Ladonia Cemetery at 3 p.m.

Services for Jackson Thomas Bartley, 67, of Grand Prairie were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30th, at Southland Chapel with Dr. John Knowles officiating.

Graveside services were conducted by Rev. E. W. Gorom, pastor of Ladonia First Christian Church, Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Ladonia Cemetery.

Mr. Bartley died Sunday afternoon, July 28, after a short illness.

Born November 11, 1917 in Ladonia, a son of the late Claud and Delia McFarland Bartley, he had been a Grand Prairie resident 22 years. He was a retired truck owner and operator.

Previously, he lived in Tahoka where he as a teacher and coach in the public schools. He had also served as city secretary and city judge. He was a member of Tahoka Masonic Lodge No. 1041.

During World War II, he was in the Navy and served on the USS Rainer in the South Pacific.

He was a member and and elder of the First Christian Church of Grand Prairie.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian, a daughter, Deborah Jean Trussell; one grandson, Bryan Trussell of Grand Prairie; two brothers, Ebb of Ladonia; Al of Sherman; two sisters, Helen Mills of Bossier City, La., and Mozelle Lowry of Ladonia.
