Bruce R. Dunwiddie, 64, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at his home at 514 Nelson Drive. He was born April 28, 1904, the son of Charles and Margaret Cotton Dunwiddie.
He moved to Jefferson City in 1924.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Dunwiddie was employed with the State Highway Department until his retirement in 1966.
On April 8, 1950 at Jefferson City, Mr. Dunwiddie was married to Elsie Wehmeyer, who survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Edward, James and Robert; two daughters, Mary Dunwiddie and Margaret Burnette; and two sisters, Elizabeth Parsons and Margaret Hope.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at the Buescher Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Masonic rites will be Friday at the Buescher Chapel.
Mr. Dunwiddie was a member of the Central United Church of Christ, and the Registered Professional Engineers of Missouri the State Highway Employees Association.
Mr. Dunwiddie was also a member of the Jefferson Lodge No. 43, AF and AM, Prince of Peace Commandery No. 29, Knights Templer, Ezra Council No. 33, Royal and Select Masons, Council and Commandery, and Moolah Temple, St. Louis, Victoria Chapter No. 14, Order of Eastern Star, and Aerie No. 2693, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was also a member of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Charity Shrine No. 34, of which he was a past watchman of the Shepherds of the White Shrine.
