In 1924, he graduated from the North Pacific Dental College. He practiced 63 years and retired in 1987.
In 1925, he married Myra Johnson, who died in 1987.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Alan D. Anderson of Milwaukie; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Private interment was in Lincoln Memorial Park.
