Services for G.W. Stanton, 68, were held at First Baptist Church in Graham with Rev. Montgomery, pastor of the Christian Church and Rev. J.D. Thorn, pastor of the Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Stanton was Baptist.
G.W. Stanton moved to Young County, Texas in 1929 from Borger, Texas. He lived in the Indian Mound community and followed the oil fields. He worked as a lease man for the oil fields and was a driller. He moved to Young County with a son with whom he worked in the oil fields.
