Mr. Thrower was a graduate of Rockingham High School, class of 1959. He was an Aerospace Design Engineer, having design patents on the Space Shuttle, F-14 Tomcat, and the SR-71 Blackbird. He, also, worked on Aircraft Carrier Elevator design. He traveled extensively internationally with his work. Mr. Thrower was a member of First Assembly Church of God. He enjoyed golf, coaching baseball in earlier years, and fishing. In his later years, he loved his dogs.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, June 4, 2016 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Gene Alexander officiating and interment to follow at Richmond Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Watson – King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
