COLUMBIA - Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Bellview Church of God for Burkley Bedwell, 83, of Columbia, who died May 27, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. Burial will be in the Bedwell Cemetery. Mr. Bedwell was a farmer and member of Bellview Church of God. He was an Army veteran. Community Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
He was the son of James Bedwell and Maggie Gay. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Bedwell of Columbia; one daughter, Shelia Stinson; five sons, Tex Bedwell, Jimmy Bedwell, Curtis Bedwell, Kenneth Bedwell and Craig Bedwell; one brother, Virgil Bedwell; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
