VERNIE L. DREW
Vernie L. Drew, 91 of Brunswick, formerly of Keytesville, died Jan. 19, 1999 at the Brunswick Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 10, 1907 in Keytesville, the son of Willie and Carrie M. (Shoemaker) Drew. He married Elizabeth Cousins in 1930 and she preceded him in death in 1938. He married Eula Junie Billups on June 15, 1940 and she preceded him in death on Apr. 2, 1998.
Mr. Drew was a lifelong area resident. He owned and operated a trucking business and later was owner and operator of Drew's Service Station in Keytesville.
He is survived by a son, Elwood Drew of Braymer; a brother, Raymond Drew of Orrick; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, and an infant son, James Drew.
Funeral services were held Jan. 21, 1999 at the Berry Funeral home in Keytesville. Burial was in the Keytesville City Cemetery.
