Barto “Bart” Franklin Casey age 70, of Mountainburg, Arkansas formerly of Vandervoort, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Bart was born January 7, 1946 in Cleveland, Texas to the late Clinton Nugent Casey and the late Mary Katherine Schlobohm.

He was married to Candace Thomas Casey and served his country in the United States Army National Guard. Bart was a lumberjack and a “jack of all trades”. Most of all Bart loved his children and grandchildren and was a very devout man of faith and wanted others to know and experience a relationship with God. He enjoyed being outdoors, writing poetry and reading history and westerns. He was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by: Wife: Candace Casey, Son: Sgt. Barto A. Casey and wife Melanie of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Daughters: Annette Norris and husband Tab of Eastland, Texas, Shelly Casey of Mountainburg, Arkansas, Amy Casey of Dyer, Arkansas, Ginger Mar and husband Cris of Bentonville, Arkansas, Grandchildren: Franklin, Clayton, Ean, Karlie, MaKayla and Abigail, Brothers: Daniel Casey and Douglas Casey, Sisters: Mary Jobe and Clara Sterken, Many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Mary Casey, brothers, Bill Casey and Jim Casey.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Beasley Wood Chapel with Brother Larry Horne officiating. Interment will follow in the Cecil Chapel Cemetery.
