BARBARA A. BEARD, 70, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at her residence in Fort Wayne. Born Feb. 4, 1933, in Fort Wayne, she was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She co-owned, with her husband, Beard's Nursery and Garden Center for over 45 years. Survivors include, her husband, Richard; daughters, Diane (John) Glass of Fort Wayne, Beth (Scott) Mullins of Fort Wayne; sister, Carol Barnet of Zionsville; and five grandchildren. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, with calling one hour prior, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Road.
