Dr. Arthur E. Kreft, 81, of Greer, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in Virginia at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Paul Henry Carl and Florence Elizabeth Hurd Kreft. Dr. Kreft attended and graduated from Toccoa Falls High School, Tennessee Temple University, University of Florida, and Luther Rice Seminary. He was a retired Christian school teacher, preacher, an accomplished artist, and was a member of Choice Hills Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Mary Elizabeth Underwood Kreft; son: Arthur James Kreft(Tanya); daughter: Mary Joy Felts(Ronald); grandchildren: Arthur John Paul Kreft(Kayla), Joshua David Kreft(Jessica), Hannah Marie Kreft, James Matthew Kreft(Anna), Christina Joy Turner(Joshua), Ronald Arthur Felts(Megan), Tiffany Elizabeth Egan(Devin); great-grandchildren: Arthur Malachi Lewis Kreft, Kenley Elizabeth Kreft, Jacqueline Leigha Kreft, Matthew Landon Kreft, Avery Grace Felts.
Along with his parents he was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua Felts.
Burial: Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
