Marion Rosa (BROWN) Sullivan was the oldest daughter of Harry J. & Anna (TWITCHELL) Brown of Upper Lisle, Town of Triangle, Broome County, NY.

Marion married Grant Sullivan of Lapeer, NY, on Nov. 17, 1946. Marion was living with her parents at that time, and they didn't have much money, so they were married at her parents' home in Upper Lisle, NY. They were married just over 69 1/2 years, and had 6 children:

1) Grant William, Jr.
2) Harry George
3) Myra Anne
4) Mary Elizabeth
5) Richard Gordon
6) Raymond Lee

Marion R. Sullivan, 90, of Greene, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at her home. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Anna Brown. Marion is survived by her loving husband of 69 and1/2 years, Grant Sullivan; children, Grant Sullivan Jr., of Manchester, New Hampshire, Harry Sullivan of Stow, Ohio, Myra Fanning of Binghamton, Mary and Edgar Barnes of Greene, Richard Sullivan of West Bainbridge and Raymond Sullivan of Greene; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Pearl Cook of Whitney Point; 2 brothers-in-law, Richard Sullivan, Harold Griffin; sister-in-law, Ellen Freelove. Marion was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greene. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Greene. Rev. Amy Gregory will officiate. Burial will be in North Canal Street Cemetery, Greene. Friends of the family may call Saturday 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, Greene. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Greene or to the Greene Emergency Squad. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.rootfh.com.
