Norma Hollis Childers, 95, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Commonwealth of Front Royal.
An inurnment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
Mrs. Childers was born in Washington, DC on September 9, 1920, a daughter of the late Joseph and Naomi Daniels Hollis.
She was a dairy farmer in Georgia along with her husband for many years.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, and cooking. She was Baptist by faith.
Mrs. Childers is survived by her nephew, Robert Bloyer of Front Royal and her niece, Norma Martin of Delaware.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Childers was preceded in death by her husband, Troy M. Childers in 2005; and her 11 brothers and sisters.
Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home, 1200 N Shenandoah Ave Front Royal, VA 22630, is in charge of the arrangements.
