Mark Alexander Dean, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at his home.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Spencer Ezra Dean and Willie Bell King. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was retired from the City of Oxford.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Eakes Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Pittman. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Henderson.
Surviving is a daughter, Sharon Dean Yancey (Tommy) of Bullock, a son, Michael W. Dean (Kimberly) of Oxford, a sister, Betty Wagstaff of Norlina, five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Marie Beal Dean, three sisters, Mary Cottrell, Lillie Propst and Edith Yarboro and a brother, Jessie Dean.
Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made to Providence Baptist Church in care of Rosa Overton, 3039 Shady Grove Road, Oxford, NC 27565.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, June 3, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.
