UNION - Elezene Smith Toney, 81, of 1817 Jonesville Highway, died Aug. 20, 1997, in Ellen Sagar Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was formerly of Buffalo.
A native of Cross Anchor, she was the widow of William Toney and daughter of the late Broadus and Cora Pruitt Smith.
She was a member of the Covenant Baptist Church and was retired from United Merchants, Buffalo Plant.
Survivors include a daughter, Jancie Sanders of Buffalo; and a brother, John Everette Smith of Union.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Union Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Shep Whitener.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Jancie Sanders, 2038 Main St., Buffalo.
