RUTH RAELENE TOMKINS, 59, died at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 27, 2006, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
She was born March 12, 1947, in Van Wert to Raymond and Olive Ruth Runyon Tomkins, who preceded her in death.
Miss Tomkins was a registered nursing supervisor at the Metropolitan General Hospital in Cleveland for 30 years. She retired in 2002. She graduated from Lincolnview High School in 1965 and the Lima School of Nursing in 1968. She was a member of Middle Point United Methodist Church, Van Wert Women's Club, Van Wert County Hospital TWIG III and the Van Wert City Zoning Board of Appeals.
Survivors include a brother, Robert G. Tomkins, of Middle Point.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point.
